Pressurizer FAQs
What is a ball pressurizer?
A tennis and padel ball pressurizer is a more technologically advanced, reusable version of the tubes that contain new balls.
It preserves and restores the internal pressure of tennis and padel balls by storing them under pressure. The pressure within the container quickly increases the pressure inside the balls.
Essentially, it operates in the opposite way to what naturally occurs when the balls are exposed to 'normal' pressure.
How do I use it?
Pressurebox is easy to use. Here is how:
1. Remove the bottom lid and insert your balls after play.
2. Close the lid firmly to ensure that it is sealed airtight. However, since individual strenght varies, make sure not to close the box harder, than what will make you able to open it again.
3. Press the main switch and leave it in the on-mode until the next time you play. Pressurebox will automatically build up and maintain the correct pressure.
4. Before opening Pressurebox again, shut off the main switch, press the deflate button on the lid. Open the lid, take out your pressurized balls, and enjoy!
How long can I use the same balls?
While the longevity of tennis & padel ball pressure depends on various things like playing style and ball quality, it's useful to provide a comparison. Without a Pressurebox, around 20% of the ball's pressure is usually lost after just an hour of play, with further gradual decreases over time.
By comparison, when using high-quality tennis or padel balls with Pressurebox, the pressure in your balls will be comparable to new balls, even after several sessions & matches.
It's important to note that individual experiences may vary, and the balls may show some wear and tear after prolonged use, such as the logo becoming less visible.
Having said that, in most cases, the playing experience remains great even after extended use. For padel, the impact on the ball's felt is even less, leading to an even longer playing time.
How long does it take to restore ball pressure?
The short answer is that it depends on the condition of the balls used, since Pressurebox works gradually on the balls.
The most common usage of Pressurebox by regular players with high playing standards, is to buy new balls as usual, then put them in the box each time after play, which will allow you to play with the balls much longer and increase ball quality, from the second session of play and onwards. In this user case, Pressurebox will usually get the pressure back as soon as the next day.
Note that completely pressureless balls can not be inflated again. For the quickest & best results, it is best to use balls that has a decent amount of pressure left in them - which usually is the case even for many leftover balls that can be found anywear in tennis clubs.
Can I completely stop buying new balls with Pressurebox?
Yes, it is possible. However, the most common usage of Pressurebox by regular players, is to buy new balls as usual & put them in the box each time after play.
This will make it possible to play with the balls many times longer, increase the ball quality from the second our of play and onwards, and reduce the cost & waste from using new balls. In this user case, Pressurebox will usually get the pressure back as soon as the next day or shortly thereafter.
You can also use Pressurebox to inflate leftover balls and completely avoid buying new ones, which is even better for the wallet and for the environment. In this user case, it will usually take some days before the pressure in the balls is back, since Pressurebox works gradually on the balls, and the results will depend on the condition of the balls used.
What is the pressure in tennis or padel balls?
Tennis balls typically have an internal pressure of around 14 PSI, but Pressurebox's tennis ball pressurizer has a higher pressure to compensate for pressure loss during play.
Padel balls typically have an internal pressure of around 12 PSI. Pressurebox's padel ball saver has a higher pressure to compensate for pressure loss during play, ensuring you can keep smashing those winners!
Is Pressurebox a one-time investment?
Yes, Pressurebox is a reusable pressure can that is designed to last for years.
The more Pressurebox's sold means that the better for the environment, as fewer new balls need to be manufactured, so tell your friends and playing partners!
